Wayside

What is Wayside?
When you are taking a long trip by car, you sometimes need to stop at a “wayside” or rest stop along the way. The purpose is to rest, refresh, re-fuel, re-energize and prepare yourself for the rest of the journey.

Life is a journey. Sometimes we start out in one place then find ourselves on our way to the next place. We may not even be sure where the final destination is. But we can get weary in the journey. We need a “wayside”.

The Wayside” is a part of Manasseh Ministries. It is meant to be a rest stop for those along the journey to their new destination. It’s a gathering of believers that need to be re-fueled and energized as they travel to their new destination.

The phrase “fall by the wayside” is defined as; “To fail to continue. Give up in the face of defeat. Lacking hope. In a condition of neglect or disuse. To be put aside, shelved or discarded.” If we fall by the wayside in our spiritual journey, we cannot fulfill our purpose. We encourage you to pull into the “wayside”.

What to expect when you visit Sunday morning Wayside:
Wayside is held in our meeting room. Dress is casual, come as you are.

Most Sundays will consist of a time of worship followed by a message given by Pastor Amy Towns or from various DVD’s of prominent ministers. However, some Sundays may be worship or praying for one another the whole time.

Since we do not have membership, it allows people to attend as they please. Some come a few times and then move on; others may pop in here and there to get refreshed. Many find the Sunday Wayside a place they need to stay for a long time. We welcome you wherever you are in your journey.

Rather than passing an offering basket, we give everyone an opportunity to be a joyful giver by discreetly dropping your financial gift into our Joy Box located in the back of the room.

We invite children to attend the worship portion of the service and then ask that one of the adults they came with bring their little ones into our children’s room and stay with them.

We want those who want to leave after the service to be able to do so, but for those who want to connect, share or fellowship a little longer, we welcome you to stay afterwards.

When is the Wayside open?
Sunday mornings 9:00-9:30 social time. 9:30-11:00 Wayside service.

Where is it located?
